We have separated life into work, and it’s reward, pleasure. The harder we work, the more rewards we want. Life has become this duality. As people we have become entrapped in societies aspirations while climbing the ladder of success. Our life purpose is shaped by society. Morals and conventions dictate how we live and we become slaves to it. We believe we are free; but we are not. What we think, how we behave, the God to believe in and the careers we choose is shaped by society.  The question you have to ask is: am I free from society and it’s pressure to be someone? Because that someone will be shaped by society, with its brutality, wars, religious beliefs and the propaganda of success and happiness. While ever you are a part of society-society owns you. Freedom is not just within, but without.

Is it no wonder that our unconscious is filled with worry, loss, loneliness, and fear that comes from our spiritual misdirection. With our conscious mind occupied with self-interest there is no room for spiritual purpose. Our life, if we have the courage to see, has become a shallow existence with a deep bottomless ocean of the unconscious beneath it. The unconscious is always trying to express itself through the subconscious to the conscious. The depths of our spiritual being has now become the depths of our unconscious. The light of our spirituality and the magic of correct living is obscured and lost to the endless search for the fulfillment of the self and it’s conformity to society. Life purpose is now the complete happiness of the self. This illusionary life has created the self. When we follow the path of self fulfillment we close the door to spiritual expression and illumination.

The workings of the unconscious and the meaning behind mostly hidden from the conscious. The day-to-day workings operate on the superficial aspect of the mind. The building blocks of knowledge, experience and the memory from it are stored in our brain cells. It is from this memory we operate. Therefore we function from the reservoirs of memory based on past experience. Life comes from the past; not the future. We often have a premonition or an intuition of something that is going to happen-if we are tune. Psychics are known to “see” beyond our everyday experience and peer into past lives. The relevance of this in our own lives is debatable. If this insight comes from someone else then it is not our own. If we can’t see it then we should look towards the reasons why there is a lack of insight into our own lives. Visions or insights from someone else into our lives is merely entertainment. Unless we become more consciousness of our own life then we havent gained the experience and learned from it.

Only if we want to see it…

But what is a free spirit?

Is a soul that has returned to the source because there are no karmic bonds to hold it. All souls enter the dream of illusion so to fully realize the nature of reality and magnificence of creation. Only until we have gone away the furthest will we know the measure of love behind existence.

Through innumerable lives souls, experience every form of existence spanning rock and animal kingdoms to the ultimate consciousness of the human mind. The human mind represents the pinnacle of evolutionary consciousness that has moved beyond animal instincts to conscious awareness and self-reflection. At this point evolution has finished and involution begins; where human mind can consciously realize the reality beyond ego-mind.

Through conscious awareness the self as the centre of individual consciousness and the by-product of evolutionary consciousness is clearly observed for what it is: the remnants of biological security of the species. In this meditative awareness, the mind can empty itself of the content of  individual consciousness and move to a new consciousness free from the self. This self which is a by-product of the past must realize the nature of its own illusionary existence through the mirror of conscious awareness. Only until this happens can the ego mind relinquish its throne as the perceived creator of experience and initiator of all action. This self-realization is the one and only freedom: freedom from the bonds of the past and the unreality of the self- to life in the NOW.

Then what compels a free spirit to re-enter the life of human experience?

When a soul has awoken and is free from the dream of self illusion comes the compassion to help others see. With freedom comes love and love always holds out her hand. Out of this compassion some souls take the journey back to humanity to reawaken life purpose.

What is yours?

Some people never connect…many people are lost.

Masters are spiritual people who hold keys to the doorway of higher consciousness.

When the time is right and your being is open to a higher state of consciousness, masters appear in your life -they are beautiful people who show you the way out of darkness to the light of consciousness. Out of compassion they accept their role to lift you out of the quagmire of self-identification.

IT WAS AN INNOCUOUS BEGINNING…There was an ad in the local newspaper wanting someone for share accommodation.

Nestled on a hill in the middle of a paddock was a farmhouse. The owner of the property ran cows on the land. You entered the property through an old iron fence then up a dirt driveway to an adjoining car port. The farmhouse was an old three bedroom wooden building with carpet in the lounge room and bedrooms; tiles in the kitchen. At the back of the property was a creek with swimming hole.

His name was Richard Gutwein; acupuncturist, herbalist, massage teacher, musician and father of two. Daughter named Grace; son Govinda.

Richard was strong, energetic and understood the nature of Qi. Years of working in his Chinese Medicine practice strengthened his Qi and aligned spirit with the art of healing. Spiritual people are often healers and miracle workers; Richard certainly was.

I lived with him and stated to walk the road he lived. This road I had never walked upon. It was a radical divergence from where I had been. This was the ‘crossroads’ where the new began and the old left. I was finally set on my path of no return from the seeds of destiny that could never be changed.

He was the key that opened the door to my being, obscured all this time. He was my true father; my spiritual master. It is a relationship that transcends family and blood which crosses the boundary of established sociological norms that confines our life. It is the raft that frees you from the shore of your past and all that is known. The known is the accumulation of experiences that forms the self. The self must end for the ‘other’ to enter.

Two years later after living with Richard I was to come back to stay at his new house for one night overlooking the surrounding hills of Byron Bay. Three O’clock in the morning I suddenly awoke from my bed in the lounge room- the air charged with the supernatural. My senses were alive. I felt a presence had entered the surrounds of the house – benevolent. I arose and went to the front of the house, where I saw Richard’s dog alert and watchful. I looked towards the side entrance and saw a spiritual presence moving towards me that illuminated the surrounding trees. I looked in awe. It was surreal. I went inside to lie on my mattress, face up. Then the spirit entered my heart chakra.

I had arrived…

Living The Life of Two People

I have lived the life of two people. The first was a person that was never to know on a conscious level his being was a temporary presence; a preparation for his spiritual being to enter his body at a specific age and dissolve ego-consciousness to universal consciousness. There was a deep unconscious fear in the boy, emanating from spiritual source, that something bad would happen if caught in self identification and spiritual isolation. On one instance, this occurred when the boy lived with his father, instead of his mother. Great fear welled up and a dread that something was terribly wrong. The life with his father represented a divorce from his karmic path and a vulnerability to harm.

When I look back in consciousness to my former self there is a deep spiritual love existing out of the sacrifice this boy was to experience. To haven chosen this life from the seeds of karmic destiny-then born into life, unconsciousness of his fate to protect his uniqueness-is compassion of spirit. To not embed oneself in self identification, the ego can never be developed and strengthened; the tree must be uprooted before it can grow. To have your life stripped away from you, when all the time there was a perceived need to build the sense of self was a bitter pill to swallow. Only moving beyond self experience to karmic destiny shone the light on my life. This eventual realization led me to forgive the past and begin to fully embrace the present.

In times of trouble, spirit entities incarnate to uphold the forces of light & spiritual consciousness against the darkness of greed and spiritual obscurity in a materialistic existence.

This is a biographical account of my spiritual embodiment into the person now known as Sage.

The story begins with the entering of spirit in the foothills of Byron Bay, N.S.W., Australia, then his journey to India & Nepal in 1997 to reconect with past and present spiritual masters Sai Baba, Ramana Maharshi, Meher Baba, and B.S. Rajneesh (Osho) and visit sacred sites such as Hampi & Bodhgaya, where the Buddha was enlightened.

The Journey ends and a new life begins with Sage returning to Byron Bay for intensive spiritual retreat to enter into Nirvana and disolve self consciousness to the universal.

Now…a new consciousness is entered…

The consciousness of enlightenment.
